Asian Session

  • Generally, has low volatility, slightly higher at the beginning of the session due to news. Opportunities generally appear on Asia Pacific pairs.
  • When volatility is low, you can place short-time trades or trade breakouts.
  • Generally, major price directions from the American Session consolidate during the Asian Session.
  • We can trade based on news from Australia, New Zealand and Japan.
  • The Asian-European overlap has no significant volatility as the European-American overlap.
  • Recommendation: focus on JPY pairs.



European Session

  • It records the most intense market activity. Liquidity is very high. There may be many trade opportunities when this Session overlaps with the American Session.
  • Most of the trends emerge during the London Session and often continue until the start of the American Session.
  • Recommendation: stick with the Majors and JPY crosses.


The American Session

  • The highest liquidity is at the beginning of the session, when the main news from America and Canada are released. Friday afternoons movements are generally insignificant. Generally, during this Session you can trade any pair, especially the Majors.
  • The highest earnings are usually recorded at mid-week. Friday market activity is generally limited to the first part of the day.


DO NOT TRADE

  • On Fridays, especially in the afternoon
  • On Sunday and during holidays
  • Before important news
  • When you are distracted or tense



Types of order

Market order – Instant Buy/Sell.
Limit Entry Order - Buy Under Price, Sell Over Price.
Stop Entry Order - Buy over Price, Sell Under Price.
Stop Loss Order - Limits risk. It's vital!
Trailing Stop (TS) – Limits risk. Moves gradually along with the price when the price moves in the favourable direction.
Good 'Till Cancelled - an order without SL or TS. Stays active until it is manually cancelled.
Good for the Day - one-day deal.
One Cancels the Other - setting two opposing orders in advance. If one is enabled, the other one is cancelled.
One-Triggers-the-Other - an order triggered by another order. For example the SL is placed before the main trade.
